Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains how MA Ventures ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit this website, talk to our chat assistant or ask to join our WhatsApp trading community. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. We aim to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What we collect
The data we collect depends on how you use the site.
When you use the chat assistant to sign up
- Your full name, WhatsApp number, email address and country.
- Your broker account ID with XM or Exness.
- A screenshot of your deposit, which you upload so we can verify it.
- The full text of your conversation with the assistant.
When you browse the site
- Basic usage analytics (pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, approximate location), but only if you accept analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not store your IP address in readable form.
When you contact us directly
If you email or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the details you send and our replies.
2. How and why we use your data
- To process your sign-up. We use your details, broker account ID and deposit screenshot to check that you opened an account through our partner link and made a deposit, and to add you to the WhatsApp group. Lawful basis: performing the service you asked us for (contract), and our legitimate interests in running the community.
- To check screenshots with AI. Uploaded screenshots are analysed by an AI model to help us verify deposits. A person can review the result. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in preventing fraud and processing sign-ups efficiently.
- To review conversations. Our administrators can read chat history to support you, improve the assistant and resolve disputes. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To protect the service. Hashed IP addresses help us limit abuse and automated traffic. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in keeping the site secure.
- To understand how the site is used. Analytics help us improve the website. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests and keeping records where required.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. Where your data is stored
Your chat history is kept in your own browser (local storage) so you can continue a conversation, and a copy is stored in our server database so administrators can review it. Uploaded screenshots are stored on our server. Clearing your browser data removes only the copy in your browser. To have the server copy deleted, contact us (see section 9).
4. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers (processors) who handle data on our instructions:
- Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI models behind our chat assistant and screenshot checks. Messages and uploaded images are sent to Anthropic for processing.
- PostHog, which provides website analytics, used only after you consent.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the website, database and file storage.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you join our group or message us there. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights. Brokers such as XM and Exness are independent companies. Where you open an account with them, they handle your data under their own policies, and they may share limited information with us as an introducing partner, such as whether an account was opened and deposited.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers, including Anthropic, PostHog and hosting services, may process data outside the United Kingdom, for example in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where this happens we rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as a UK adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or equivalent standard contractual terms.
6. How long we keep data
- Sign-up details, chat history and screenshots: kept while you are an active member and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we need them to resolve a dispute or meet a legal duty.
- Hashed IP addresses: kept for a short period, normally no more than 30 days.
- Analytics data: kept for the period set in our analytics settings, normally up to 12 months.
- Emails and WhatsApp messages with us: kept for up to 24 months.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- ask us to delete your data (erasure);
- ask us to restrict how we use your data;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month and may need to verify your identity first.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
